At first the TV Show Bones starring Angel and "that cute indie actress' sister" was a CSI rip off with all the trashiness FOX could provide. Busty outfits, gorey crime scenes and fast paced editing to Dust Brothers beats is all a boy could dream of. After reading about the power of Emily Dechanel's rack on Defamer, I happened to run across it on tv one night and, well, there could be worse ways to waste my time. Within minutes, I was stunned. Dr. Brennan had just pulled out a gooey SCALP. I couldn't believe what Fox was getting away with during prime-time. As the series went on--and I kept watching in large part to a drinking game--it settled down and the show stopped relying on CSI gadgetry and focused on the gelling relationship and chemistry between its quirky cast. Simply put: I'm addicted.
What's up with this site? My roommate and I decided to kick off the Season 4 two hour premiere by creating a Beer Bones Theme Song. During it's creation we joked about doing one for every new episode. It has spawned what you see here: A Weekly Bones Theme Song. Each one a different genre, inspired by the previous new episode.
Beer Bones Drinking Game
It's a standard now amongst everyone I know, so much so that it's a verb. Bones is the name of the show but "Beer Bones" is what we're doing wednesday night.
BEER BONES Take A Drink If You View Any Of The Following:
+ BONES SHOOTS A GUN OR DOES KARATE She's a black belt.
+ AGENT BOOTH WEARS A HIP T-SHIRT TO A CRIME SCENE
+ BONES IS SHOWING A GOOD AMOUT OF CLEVAGE If is a moving camera shot, i.e. Bones walking with clevage it's considered a "TRACK RACK". Drink for the entire dolly or move.
+ SOMEONE USES SCIENTIFIC WORDS YOU DON'T UNDERSTANK aka "mumbo jumbo" Bonus drink if Booth says "that's scientific mumbo jumbo" or something similar
+YOUR FEELING THE GORE YOU'RE SEEING IS UNFIT FOR PRIMETIME That's the basic drinking game. It's morphed a little each season. Currently we make a prediction at the top of the episode from one of the previews seen. For instance, if it's an episode about the death of a H.S. Basketball star, then someone calls out "Drink anytime they mention he was gonna go pro!". You get the idea. Have fun. Watch it with a group.
